What scope base for Lee Enfield No4 Mk2?
Please advise on what the recommended option is for a scope base for the No4 Mk2.
I did a search without success

Have you tried Thor Engineering Pretoria? Google them.

Spike, I also used Thor's product. Phone Chad or Ken at ARMS in Pretoria, they should be able to assist.
PS: The same Spike from 4x4 Community?

here is a pic of my lee enfield no 4 mk2 .303 with the scope fitted. vlt in queenswood has a few in stock. can't recall the make thou. speak to hennie there to hook you up. for the mount, scope rings, fitting of mount and scope cost in the region of R1040.00/ or try ARMS their work is also outstanding.

sorry, the pics was taken with cellphone and its not a topnotch one. the scope is a bushnell 3-9x40 with red and green illuminated mildot reticle. the rifle is still at dealer awaiting license. don't wanna brag but damn that scope fitted on top of the full stock rifle looks fine-i do love it that way, its a rare sight where i'm from.

I was hoping that somebody would point me towards a longish scope base that bolts to the back of the action, where the peep sight if currently fitted, to add rigidity to the action

Maybe the Ati mounts will work but they cost almost as much as a stock dont know how that works.

Redfield, Lynx or Thor (which is Lynx copy). Parker Hale is a bit cheap and nasty. All are one-piece.
