    Default Pre 64 Winchester .375 H+H

    Hi all.

I have been offered a pre 64 winchester .375 that has been hardly used and in superb condition. Been locked in a friend of mines grandfathers safe for a very long time.

I have a 9.3x62 so was looking for a larger caliber but dont think I should pass up on this.

I have just been asked to make a offer and it is mine but i obviously want to make a decent offer fair to them.

Thanks in advance for the advice.

Classic Arms have similar rifles on offer for R16 000 to R17000. These are second hand rifles. You can check their website. New Winchesters are going for R19 000 to R21 000 as advertised by a various suppliers.

    Regards,

    JHN

I own a 1949 vintage .375 pre 64. My favourite rifle. Most accurate .375 I know of. About the only thing that bothers is the low comb of the stock not being compatible with my scope. Go for it, buy the rifle!!!!!! Google and see the prices pre 64's in .375 are fetching in the US - easily $4000 + in the condition you describe.

    Hi all.

Thank you for the replies and input.

Kaspaas, the low comb fortunately is a + to me. Only one of my rifles has a scope on so am used to, and prefere, shooting open sights. It makes me work harder and get closer to game. When age starts kicking in I will have to use scopes more I suppose.

I will post pics as soon as I can.

    Regards to all
