SADPA Member do I have to belong to a Club?

Hi All.

This year I might be moving and I am not sure as to where I would like my "Home" club to be at. The question, am I allowed to be a "FreeLance" shooter until I find out where I want to join a new Club.

This would mean to be a fully paid up member of SADPA still receiving my points and paying a bit more at each range where I decide to shoot at for that day.

Is this allowed or must I be affiliated to a "certain" shooting club/range other than SADPA itself?

As I understand it you must be a member of a club.

You don't have to be a member of your closest club. Subject to any given club's rules you don't have to shoot there to be a member.

SADPA will not process your SADPA membership unless you are a member of a SADPA club.
Membership is confirm by SADPA with the respective SADPA club.
Clubs support SADPA and SADPA supports clubs - THAT IS HOW IT WORKS.
You also can not only belong to a club, and shoot SADPA matches.

There is no problem with joining a club and then changing to another club at a later stage if/when you move.

As long as you've paid your SADPA fees, you can participate in any club's shoots and leagues anywhere in S.A.

Thanks Glock Goblin. Not sure who you are because of our "Nick Names". Not sure if the move will come through at the end of the day. Hope it doesn't happen at all. A member I will be at EZDPC until I know what is up.

just means double club fees if you do move with the buddy buddy system.

AFAIK most clubs will charge a new member a "pro-rata" fee if they've had to move clubs. If you've paid SADPA fees, there's nothing stopping you from paying range fees at another club and shooting there.
