wolf-eyes shark
Ok so i have been looking for a good HID light for about 2 months
something i can carry in my duty bag must be well made be bright as hell
and have a reasonable battery life.
Unforyunatly you dont really get proper HID lights in the country if u do i could not find them.
I also had to get something that was as lite as possible to help with shipping costs.
After carefull consideration and a lot of reading i bought this guy yesterday.

Its costing me a lot of money but illumination is a important aspect for me.
It should arrive here in about 7 working days and then i will post a full review and pictures.
If any of you are looking for a simmilar type of light contact me and you can see it in real life before buying one.

Re: wolf-eyes shark
Never seen one in person but they get great reviews as do most Wolf Eyes lights. It will give plenty of light, for sure. Does the Shark have to warm up like most of the HID lights do before giving full power? If so, for how long, and do you carry a second torch as well?

Re: wolf-eyes shark
I held a sharpshooter sniper 200 the other day (Can't seem to find it on there site, but trust me it is the real deal)
Solid flash light, built in striker around the lens (front part is shaped like a square wave), bright as hell (makes a difference indoors during day time in a room with big outside window)
All in all i wouldn't mind owning one of these, but alas the cost is just too high...
This is the closest i could find on there site to the one i held:

Re: wolf-eyes shark
I have a Wolf-Eyes Boxer 24watt (bought locally) - extremely good ligthing.
It is not a "on-of" light. Takes about 15 or so seconds to fully charge up. HID doesn't like it if you switch on and switch off before it is charged up.
The best bag/pack spotlight I could find.
Cost is around R2600.
The Shark seems really nice with the 2 output modes.

Re: wolf-eyes shark
Yeah im getting excited.
Ikor yes the warm up time to to get the full 1800 lumens is between 10 and 12 secs.
I do carry a surefire 6p led for viechle searches eg.
And then i got my insight tac light in my beretta.
This will go in my bag of goodies and be taken out for huge factories in the veld et.
Yes it is expensicve gona cost me about R4200 to get it to my post office.
But as i said before if i catch on robber hiding in a huge veld/bush it will be worth it.
Oh and dont forget the bragging rights ;D

Oh yes...he who dies with the most toys, wins! ;D
The CDI factor should be high too, as long as you don't go around shining it in bedroom windows and such. (I'm a Po Licemen m'am and I'm here to help! :police:)

Re: wolf-eyes shark
If you can use it to land jet planes with, it is just about right for crawling around in the bush...bushes, trees and grass / dark earth, etc. soak up light as you know. I bet within 6 months you get a 'catch' or a 'find' you otherwise would not have had by using this light. Besides, I can think of much worse ways to spend R4600. grn1

Re: wolf-eyes shark
So my Light Sabre arrived yesterday sat in customs for 4 freaking days.
Charged it took about 2.5 hours to charge full there is a light that goes from red to green when fully charged.
I worked last night and in a farely large field we were looking for copper thieves all 12 odd members took out there non led maglites shining 5 m ahead of them.
I opened the boot opened the box and screw the sabre together. I switched it on to the full 1800 lumens 25w and it starts flickering comes on and then BOOOOOOOOOOOM
I moer of a big beam of light blinded these fellow collugues from the back. The colour temp is a bit blueish for my liking but it easily lights up a object 150 odd meters away.
Everybody was amazed by the beam vs compact size of the light.
Run time was actually also impressive. happy0065
