SD Licence issues

Will the powers that be issue me a new licence for a SD firearm even if I have not yet received my current firearm licence yet, what I mean is if I change my current app to Range/Sport shooting will they accept the SD app?
Maybe a bit complicated but a valid question if I am to buy the Glock that I want.

you mean in terms of the licence you are waiting for? changing it from SD to sport? I dont see why not! I would also like to know?

Yeah, so you mean that you want to change your existing app from SD to sport shooting?

I'm not sure if one is accepted more easily as another. As far as we can gather from current legislation there is no real big practical difference between having one or the other. This has been discussed a lot on this forum, do some searching. Whether a sport license is accepted more easily then self defense - No idea, anyone know?

You are correct, I just dont want to have to buy say a Glock 19 and have to only use it for sport shooting and have to carry my Star for SD, Thanks I have checked some other threads and have learnt a sh t lot.
