What rifle scope to get?

I'm looking for a scope for my new 308 Remington 700 VLS.
Is LYNX a decent brand and how are the LX 6-24x42D STEP model if anyone maybe knows?
Can you change the reticle on these scopes? I need one with which you can calculate distances on certain sizes like the pic below.
If you have any other suggestions, please share.

thats a blady big scope! Maybe you shold get the 4-16. It wil work better in the bush and is a great longrange scope. Get a range finder or get a mildot scope or get the nikon scope whith the built in range finder.

I know it's big, thats why I want it ;D
I'm mainly gonna use it for long range target shooting and occasional hunting.
How much do those scopes with built in range finders go for about?

What about the leupold VX3 4.5 -14 X 40LR. I would rather get a rangefinder, then you can use it with all your other rifles as well.

Looks like a nice varmint scope but its a bit expensive for my budget hehe.
I'm looking for something between R5k - R6k

look at the vortex range of scopes, I think they are really nice and good optic quality.

about 10k. I think i have the lynx thing figuered out. Hear me out: 6mm musgrave,85gr btsp @3100fps zerode at 100m. Wil put the 2nd dot at 150m and the 4tht dot at 200m give or take a few mm. Thats whith the scope set at 16. I want to be abel to use the dots up to 400m and i think i have found the rite scope. 4-16 lynk whith the hold over retticule and 85gr boatails at 3100fps

but i can be wrong. I am working from a balistic chart that is in yards and has a 200 yard zero. So i am doing a hell of a lot of calculations out of my head. Best would be to go to a 400m range and test it for yourself. Wonder where that puts the 1st and 3rd dots. And wonder wat dots would be the best for 300,350 and 400m? I think the lynx would be best used whith a cheat sheat taped to the stock.

What do you guys think about Nikko Stirling scopes. Looks like they are very cheap! I saw a 6-24x50 with illuminated reticle for like R1200. Is that price correct? If it is, why is it so cheap, is it crap?
Does anyone have a scope like this and how is the quality?

i like them but i wont mount the high mag niko styrling on a 308. I think you are refering to the night eater range. If i were you i would get the lynx. I dont think a night eater wil last on a 308
