I got really tired of calls from "Unknown" or private numbers selling me insurance or new cellphone contracts etc..

after the 3rd or 4th call in about 2 weeks from the same company I asked the guy to remove my name from their list. he said sure, and guess what, IT ACTUALLY WORKED!

it may not work with all of them, but its worth a try. better than getting p**d off and swearing at them. must be a really lousy job anyway

that is brilliant. My wife bought a whistle. It's attached to her car keys. When she has to deal with these 'cold' callers, she blasts that whistle into the phone. it's hilarious but effective

You guys have it all wrong.

I contract to some of these call centers (IT RELATED I DO NOT CALL U) and man i can tell u stories. But here is the most effective let them give u the start hi sir i am so and so from XY Corp and have a great what ever deal.

I respond WOWE that is just what i was thinking about this morning i need that but can u hold just 1 minute i need to quickly do something and the i simply put on the worst music i can find place the cell phone by my speaker and forget i had a call. LALALAAAA

they never call back again.
