    Default Carrying section 15 Pistol

    Hi All,

I'm sorry to have to be another stuck record and i know this has been disscused previously.

I've been reading through the sport shooting section in act 60 of 2000 and all i can find is the clause something on the lines of "used where it is safe to use and for a lawfull purpose"

As i understand it my section 15 firearm is legal as i have a license for it, and self defence is a lawfull purpose. I know everyone has their own ideas but for me if i was to carry my section 15 firearm i would be charged as per the law, which i cannot find anything that says i cant carry it.

Please help, i've been speacking to loads of people all with different takes on the situation,

    1.Is it legal?
2.Does anyone know some1 that is carrying a section 15 firearm?
3.When they were confronted by police what did they say when they saw on the license "section 15"?

    thanks

    chris

    Intro first then questions.

There is a legal maxim which provides, that which is not prohibited is permitted.

Where does it say in the act that you may not carry your sport pistol?

As you point out, this has been discussed ad nauseum.

My opinion may not have the same legal expertise as SSP's, but my comments were going to be similar. Don't add in or fill in the blanks into the act. Read what it STATES you are or are not allowed and leave it at that.

    now, I feel sick...

    Hi Bob.
It has nothing to do with the "wrath of the mods" - it has to do with good manners.

Plus I know some of the mods and they arent evil pitchfork wielding guys just waiting to pick on forum members...
