I saw a post on another forum last week with some beautiful knives in it. The knives were stunning. So I looked up the maker and was surprised how affordable they were.

The maker is a guy named Dan Thornburg, and his company is DTKnives. www.DTKnives.com.

He uses old saw blades and files for his blades, and cool exotic woods for his handles. He also recycles stuff from his printing business for his pins and such, which I love.

So I sent him a couple of emails and we struck up a dialogue on Friday night. By 10pm I had picked one out and had placed the order. He mailed it on Saturday morning and it showed up at my office on Monday. I freaking love this knife!

I am using the photo from his website because my pics suck ass, but it is prettier in person than it is in pics.

It has about a 3" blade, and is razor sharp. He also includes a very nice, hand made leather sheath.

Total cost was $130USD, delivered.

I will be buying more of his knives.
