Importing Black Power guns and accesories.
I have been looking around to buy a BP rifle for hunting purposes. In SA these rifles tend to be a lot more expensive than what you would pay in the US or somewhere else. Now I know you need to include shipping and handling etc. before determining whether it's really cheaper to import a BP rifle yourself.
The big question regarding this for me is what the South African law says about importing BP rifles and accessories. Am I allowed to import accessories and am I allowed to import rifles?

Re: Importing Black Power guns and accesories.
You will get a better answer here www.whitesmoke.co.za
Depending from where which country you want to import a Black Powder gun, for example, I wanted to buy an original Civil War Navy Colt 1860 and the person who was selling it through his business was not prepared to deal with us here in South Africa, however we bought an original French Pocket Flintlock Pistol from The UK and there were no problems, the import duties came to round about R1 300. we did not have any problems with customs. But depending on what you are looking for, you can also consider contacting Classic Arms as well here in SA.
