    Default PMC Starfire

    Anyone tested/used PMC Starfire's in 9x19 or .40S&W?
I've tested the 180gr .40S&W in water, was quite impressed with it's expansion, the jacket was pretty sharp too...

I had some QC issues with 9x19 rounds out of two different boxes. Severely underloaded and unable to function the action on two different pistols. As these were the only two boxes I bought I never bothere to buy any more.

FBI test seemed to show plugging after heavy clothing.

I tested one .45 ACP 230 gr in water bottles no barrier so NOT SCIENTIFIC but zero expansion out of a 5 inch barrel.

Thanks for the reply guys, very dissapointing to say the least. Stick to the Speer GDs' then (assuming 9x19 stock arrives this year).

I believe the guy that designed the gold dot is the same guy that designed the starfire.
