Default Coating Primer / Marking Rounds

How do you mark your bullet cases after reloading ?
Eg different colour marking pens ?

How do you seal self Defence Ammo from moisture?
    Eg nailvarnish?

Is there any possible interferance with chambering, feeding, firing?

My range ammo is marked with a single stripe from a magic marker.

Quality factory SD ammo is already sealed so no need.

Nail varnish can flake off and possibly plug your firing pin/striker channel.

Maybe a bit off the topic, but a nice read however.. be sure to check some of the other tests on this site as well.. very educational..

I think 'Kurt' was referring to handloaded SD ammo, nailvarnish should be fine, haven't heard any issues with it so far; provided you use clear version and don't coat the round.

My understanding is that a round is more likely to be contaminated from the case mouth side.
Have shot rounds that were contamintated with oil. The primer worked fine, the powder didn't.
