Thread: SA made guns

    Default SA made guns

    Hi,

I am trying to make a complete list of guns manufactured, designed or re enginered in South Africa during the years of sanctions. I have come across a few names of guns that I do not even know if the exist. In relation to certain others, I am in need of further information. Does any one know anything about the following weapons:

    Varan PMX-80 (pistol)
    CX 635 ASP (pistol)
    Vektor 98 (rifle)

Also I wonder if any one can tell me which company manufactured the Lynx/Rooikat revolvers?

I would also love a picture of the Musler shotgun which seems to be impossible to find on the web.

I was once shown a South African made shotgun with a drum magazine which was reloaded through a twist of the front hand grip which seemed to be geared. From what I can tell, it was not a Striker. Does any one recognise any model from this description?

    Most greatful for any input!

Kommando and Sanna 77, both 9mmP subguns, and I think the Sanna was first made north of the border and is a copy on the Czech VZ48 if I remember correctly.

Maybe post the list of names you have already so we can fill in the blanks.
