Re: Weak hand shooting
Start your training when you wake up in the morning, brush your teeth with your less dominant hand, brush your hair etc
Try and do as many daily activities as possible like this and see the difference.Last edited by JASON; 18-06-2012 at 14:14.

Re: Weak hand shooting
Gunna ... What you have indicated is very weird, first I have heard of that...
Perhaps your dominant eye is not as dominant as you thought? Are you sure you are in fact right-eye dominant?
Were you trained\forced to use your right eye for aiming, and then just assumed that you were right eye dominant?

Re: Weak hand shooting
Hehe... the problem (benefit?) is that I am very ambidextrous... I write left handed but then do any sport with a right handed bias and can switch between them for most sports (not golf or cricket though). I can already brush my teeth with either hand :D

Re: Weak hand shooting
I’ve been reading and re-reading what you guys posted here.
Would it be advisable then to carry support side and train this way if, for some reason, I cannot do "strong" side in the manner that I want to ( IWB in this case) ?

Re: Weak hand shooting
I think it would be prudent to suspect that any injury to the strong hand would occur after the fight has started, and as such (hopefully) if the situation called for it, you would have drawn already?
Unless you are specifically asking this because you know that your strong hand is going to be out of commission for a while?
While my strong hand was in a cast\bandage\unusable, I did EDC my FA 'weak side' ... but only because the hand was already out of commission when getting kitted out in the morning.
Perhaps some more info on your circumstances would help?

I would rather carry strong side and be way faster and efficient. It's possible to draw the gun from your strong side with your weak hand.
