    Default Tritium sight dots

Ok new question. The white paint sight dots get dirty and useless. Some cool new guns have tritium (radio active) sight dots that glow for a couple of years. Guessing you cant buy this stuff and paint it in yourself. Buying premade sight is very expensive and tricky to fit. Cant one just buy a dot and stick it in? There must be a way of getting hold of this stuff. Watchmaker maybe?

You can get the tubes. Try Truvelo.

Snake once posted details of a guy who could supply the tubes.

BTW, Tritium has a half-life of 10 years, this means that it takes 10 years to lose half its current brightness - 10 yrs half as bright as today, 20 yrs quarter as bright as today and so on.

Best done by a "gun tiffie" who's got the stripes. Had my 92FS's replaced twice in the past 12 years. Carry it every day.

    Done proper, works great!

Most major centers of SA, with long established FA enterprises, have well equiped and able gunsmiths who can do this job in no time. Network your local resources and you'll find a helpful tiffy in no time!

In CT I've been dealing with the same outfit ever since, with a smile on the dial without fail.
