Re: ..338 Lapua... Decisions, decisions decisions...
1/4moa at 600m is aimed at explaining the group size, I think? As in the expected maximum difference of flight path between any two shots is a quarter minute...

Re: ..338 Lapua... Decisions, decisions decisions...
I friend is investigating the possibility to build a 1200m range at their training facility, not 100% sure if it will be fully open to general public but i do know it will be fully accredited...
Will get him to find out the rules about "advertising" it once it's done and if they will open it to the general public.

Re: ..338 Lapua... Decisions, decisions decisions...
Don't gooi away the Savage guy's. I'm still hard at work developing a proper load, yet I got these groups at 300 meters. Watch this space, a Sako is a Sako, BUT a pimped up Subaru will beat the crap out of a lot of 1M + super cars. The driver is the key
These are 100m test groups with 250gr Scenars and 300gr Berger OTM's. I do five shot groups.
Then came 200 meters
Then came 300 meters
This was a once off just for kick's. Once I've got all the duck's alligned I'll be back.
Enjoy your LM, you will not regret the investment. Got mine from Safari Outdoor PTA
PS My Savage is the 110BA model, it kicks less than my 3006 with 150gr bullets. My wife prefers shooting the 338LM to her Musgrave 243. You do the math's heheheheee

Nice shooting, Marcv!
You make a good point - that the SAVAGE is certainly a contender, and at that price it is hard to beat.

Re: ..338 Lapua... Decisions, decisions decisions...
I think a lot of people will not consider the Savage because of the price ( almost seems to good to be true), but ALL the reviews I have read is good and the results posted on this thread as well!
I am getting one!!!

Re: ..338 Lapua... Decisions, decisions decisions...
Not to be the doomsayer here, but is the savage based on the 710 remmy action? The one with the plastic melty bits? I wanted to buy a savage as well but this gave me pause. Hence my suggestion of the remmy 700 police khumba had... Or even th XCR rifles.

Yea, at Tac-Pro shooting center in Mingus, Texas. The place is run by a former active duty Royal Marine that fell in love with Texas.
