Went to the range recently for a bit of ammo testing in my new cz .22 lr to see which ammo it likes best:

    1. Eley Match
    2. Eley Tenex
    3. Eley Sport
    4. Eley Subsonic
    5. Winchester high velocity.
    6. Lapua high velocity solid
    7. Lapua high velocity hollow
    8. Fiocchi
    9. Highland subsonics
    10. Remington yellow jackets
    11. Remington cyclone

Here are photos if the targets - any of you done any similar experiments and what wereyour results?
All were shot from the bench at a distance of 50 m.

    Hey Guys.

Ok so I've tried the following ammo so far. Bought a packet of Eley Target and Remington sub-sonic today.

Remmington Thunder (HV) - not bad accuracy good for plinking
Remmington Yellow Jacket ( Hyper Velocity ) - not too happy with accuracy, think they will work well on vermin etc
Winchester X something match (not sure ) - Quite happy with accuracy, didn't get a chance to try them at 100M
Winchester Wild Cat - This stuff is for plinking only, that's if you can hit the target
CCI Sub-sonic HP - very accurate at 100M, really keen to try again at 100M and 75M when I've got more time

CCI Mini-Mag Copper plated HP - Only tried at 75 with good results but not great, think they go sub-sonic at around 70 - 80 M
S&B copper plated HV - not very accurate, plinking only
S&B lead HP HV - not very accurate, plinking only
Lapua Center-X - Only got to shoot 10 rounds would love to get more as they've been the most accurate so far.

I've also opened a photobucket here are some images.

    Hey Guys.

Found some Fiocchi 22lr ammo at S&O. Bought a box of M 300 Match and Long Z. Can't wait to try them. Also found some CCI standard velocity at huntex.

    Cheers
