Tactical Marksman 26th August

I will be running a Tactical Marksman course on Sunday 26th August at the range at Southern Arms

Cost is R550 per person. Range fee is R60. You will need about 200 rounds.

Wow, what a day. I’m the first to admit that I knew very little about pistols (and I still do), but after spending a day with BigT, I know much, much more.

Thank you, Terrick, for laying the fundamentals … now I know how to practise to become a better pistol shot.

For those of you that still have not done the course:

1. There is no screaming or shouting
2. You don’t have to run
3. Women are allowed … there were two on the course with us today and it looked as if they really enjoyed it
4. You get to shoot a lot
5. The training is very practical. My grip is better and I’m sure with more practise I’ll get the trigger pull, draw etc. as well.
6. It’s a long day: not physical, but you have to concentrate a lot. I still got it wrong, but I now have the means to work on what I got wrong

It is well worth the money and the time. I’ll most certainly do the (same) course in future. Hopefully I can convince my wife to tag along as well.
