Re: What Music Psych's you up?
love Ramstein but nothing really psyches me up. like to be c, c and c
Used to listen to Metallica and AC/DC before rugby matches (oops guess that gives my old age away!) back in the day when I still used to play ;DI am studying an awesome brand of leg fighting which was inspired by dung beetles and I think my brand of Kraft Manure is superior to all other styles ever invented. Furthermore I challenge all other manurists to a rolling contest where we shall establish whose manure ball is the biggest! I shall call it Honest Kraft Manure and declare it superior to all other brands of manure and will tell you that I have claimed the lineage directly to Imshi the great Dragon Kru Master Beetler who invented manuring, by gathering all manure from different animals together and making it work as the worlds most effective fertilizer. I proved myself by being members of not one but three super elite special gardening departments who were responsible for spreading manure to combat weed infestations!

Re: What Music Psych's you up?
I'm more of an Elvis/Neil Diamond fan. HUGE fan of Belinda Carlisle. Throw in some 4 Non Blondes & Frank Sinatra and I'm a happy man.
Favourite band of all times: Texas.
When talking about angry white people music, I do have a bit of a soft spot for Linkin Park and Seether, depending on the mood. Also like ACDC and Megadeath, reminds me of the good old days.
Currently I'm trying to find my inner zen, so Jewel and Jem is spinning in my car.
Calm as a hindu cow.
Now I await the replies...

Re: What Music Psych's you up?
I had a really interesting experience a while ago which made me think about what I play in the bakkie. I was driving home in heavy traffic and this knob in a Merc stormed the traffic circle I was in. I put the Isuzu's nose into the tar to avoid him and he looked at me like I am something the cat dragged in. I was listening to Linkin Park and kinda lost my temper. I was yanking at the seatbelt & c/locking to get out and explain to him exactly why I think his forehead should meet his windscreen ASAP.
Thankfully, I could not get the seatbelt nor the doors open and ended shouting at him like some lunatic.
I was chewing this over the next day and realised that, had I gotten out and did what I wanted, it would have ended up at the SAPS. After the SAPS, it would have ended up at the CFR. From there, it was a simple hop, skip & jump to losing my firearms and an important part of my life.
Moral of the story? Music has a very subtle but marked effect on your personality and state of mind. Remember that when you drive & rather go for 4NB, the older Led Zep stuff, Kitaar Kêrels Vol II, crap like that. You might not be popular or maintain your rugged manly reputation, but at least you'll still have your guns.
Sorry for the hjk but this was an eye-opener.
Prone to random kindness, lecherous behaviour, imitating D-cups at speed and an outstanding sense of humour. If you don't agree, well fuck you.
