I walked into a shop the other day, I noticed a old parking meter on the counter with a sign on it that read BULLSHIT METER. After asking what it's for, the guy behind the counter replied, if you wanna sit here and talk shit with me, please put some money in the meter and you can bullshit me until your time runs out, if you don't want to be a paying customer, then don't waste my mofo time cause time = money.

I saw a sign at a gunsmith, quoting his prices, something along the folowing lines:
"Gunsmithing - R200,00 per hour, (old sign!)
If you watch - R250.00 per hour,
If you help - R500.00 per hour

Back on topic. Friendly , professional service, no BS, no trying to steer you away from what you want to what they have in stock.
    Have stock!

100% agreed. If I've taken the time to drive to your shop instead of another one, at least do the courtesy of being friendly and professional.

This is critical to me. If I want something, I usually want it when I come into the shop to buy...duh, go figure. If you haven't got stock but say you can get it in "about a week - come back then", you've almost certainly lost that sale. I know that I can generally order it online for less and have it delivered to my door sooner and don't have to go back anywhere to fetch it myself. On the other hand, if you've got it in stock, I'll pay more to walk out the store with it straight away than opt to pay less online and wait for it.
