    Wow! Us guys that weren't in the army have a lot to learn and be thankful for. We lived a totally different life thanks to the bravery of our forefathers.

    Crazy, when I read this I can't help thinking what my own father went through on the border, and how experiences differ. He is convinced till this day that the opposition did not have any tanks. He did not see as much as a track on any of his patrols. He was there a bit earlier than 25 years ago but ja, how experiences differ.

    Nope, don't know where he was, and they still carried R1 rifles.

    Anyhow I saw some documentry fotage on the cuito op and ops around it, and I must say it's awesome to read about some ones experiences there right here on this forum.

    Much respect to all who were there, and al who were a part of that war.
