Holy crapola! After my post I decided to google the live weights of warthog. Highest I saw was that they can go to 150kg! That really is a magnificent pig you have! It is quite a long pig, which must account for the weight as well! Nowadays such pigs are few and far between (hence my question).

Re: Pig and vermin hunting photos
Not the biggest I have seen but the biggest I have shot. A hunter brought one into our butchers shop that went 91.5kg, they called me because they could not believe it was bigger than mine, it made 67kg of wors. Not unusual to have carcasses over 70 kg brought in but I agree more usual to be between 30-40kg, we have bought in more than 100 this year so far and we cannot get enough.

Re: Pig and vermin hunting photos
Hi Fox1,
The goal of this part of the program is to encourage the free feeding and then load the hopper with grain that has been treated with 1080 poison. I also use cameras on the feeders to find out the times the pigs are feeding and will then time my arrival with feeding times to conduct a ground shooting program. Cheers.

Re: Pig and vermin hunting photos
Maybe good to mention here that bush pigs are considered vermin in the Eastern Cape Province and are a big problem in some areas.

Re: Pig and vermin hunting photos
I love pig hunting, actually going again down to Dwaalboom this weekend for some r&r.
This is the biggest, tusk wise, pig that I have shot. Was hunted in Malelane.

That's a great pig, Ric.
Are you going to Marius? They shot a 57" kudu there last month!
