Default CR Speed at U.S. IPSC Nationals

We had some great results here below is a cut
and paste with confirmed CR Speed Shooters Marked *

People who don’t follow the shooting sports closely are sometimes confused about the difference between USPSA and IPSC – the short and simple explanation is that they’re sort of cousins. USPSA is the US sanctioning body of IPSC, but we have slightly different rulebooks, making the two sports similar, but different. There is an IPSC National championship in the United States, which is a separate event from the USPSA National Championships. Clear as mud, right?

Standard Division winner Dave Sevigny described the match as one of the toughest, most technical matches he’d seen, but he shot his way to another National championship to add to his collection. Dave took 1st place in Standard by 3.37% over Bob Vogel. We’ll next see Bob at the 2012 IDPA Nationals, where he’s favored to win Stock Service Pistol by about a huge margin.

Over in Production division, Eric Grauffel shot his way to another title, with a 5.88% margin of victory over 2nd place. On his way to the win, Grauffel won 12 out of 24 stages outright.

In Revolver, lefty Matt Griffin won 11 of 24 stages on his way to the championship. Former USPSA Champion, and the only person to beat Jerry Miculek in years, Cliff Walsh finished 5th.

Congratulations to the winners from the US IPSC Nationals, and thanks to the staff at the Universal Shooting Academy in Frostproof, FL for putting on the match.
