I've seen this clip a bit skeptic about it though.

Years ago we had pieces of railway tracks on our 200m range to place silhouettes on. The tracks were buried but over time the sand gets shot/blown away, exposing the narrower part of the track.
A rifle shooter was shooting at a target at 100 m with his .270 rifle, using BarnesX bullets. The trajectory of his first bullet went through the 100m target, hit the railway track at 200m and came whirring back over the shooting point (sounding very much like in the vid) breaking a 3cm diameter branch off a tree in the car park behind the shooting point.
Since then the railway tracks were removed and now there is a backstop behind every shooting distance.

I have seen a .375 bullet ricochet off a steel plate and hit a friend of mine, the shooter, on his boot.

looks like the round hit the floor on the return and then hit the shooter, either way thats not good
