ya, that cruiser belongs to some oak that owns a SAKO Bavarian in 6.5x55 Swede with a leapold VX2 on top and he just ordered a Sako 85 Varmint (wood/blued) in .243 as well. Think that a Tikka counts as a SAKO, poor chap, hahahah.

But all i wanna know is when is he gonna get a Night force for his SAKO like i did, mmmmm?

My .243Win Forester. Serial number is quite low, seems my rifle is nearly 50 years old (and I'm only 30)

@ rboshoff - is that the origional stock on your Sako? So very, nice and dark.

Yep, the original stock. My father sanded the varnish off a few years ago and basically sanded the chequering away as well.

I want to have some work done on the rifle, which includes having the chequering recut.

Hi Everybody

Here are some pictures of my Sako AV, my first rifle,chambered in .270
I estimate the rifle to be around 30 years old, bought itfrom a friend’s fathers estate when he passed away.
Took it to Arms for re-blue, glass bedding, some work on thestock etc. (they did a fantastic job!)
Topped with a Redfield 6x18x44
