AKs used by SANDF
Pictures in this link show SANDF soldiers in Mozambique with AKs mounted with underslung grenade launchers. They look new but I guess in stores there would be plenty new equipment left over from the border war?

Re: AKs used by SANDF
100% underfolder AKMs.
RR has all sorts of things in inventory.Cattle die, kindred die, every man is mortal:
But I know one thing that never dies,
the glory of the great dead.

Re: AKs used by SANDF
The vehicle and rifles clearly point to one particular unit, who's base is not very far from where I live.
And yes, they do have some interesting toys in their inventory.

Re: AKs used by SANDF
Many parts of 32 Battalion exclusively used AKM during the war.
PMP even made the ammo and still did so recently

Re: AKs used by SANDF
makes sense
1) Logistcally the moz army uses AKs
2) firing a R4 and R5 in mozambique is a very different noise to an Ak and could attract attention
3) 7.62x39 doppies doesn't point to any one SADC country involved
