Its got a nice recticle......

How much are they?

I have one on my FX airgun - it's very nice but I must admit I have yet to use the features on the reticle. Good qual optics imo.

I read a couple of forums from the US,most of them on airguns....
I would like to know how they would perform on my 308
The Viper 6-24*56 is R4320.00 wich is a little expensive to test with....
Went to see the distributers in the meantime(last weekend)They are based in Alberton still working from home...
couple of things bother me though:
1. 5year gaurantee
2. If it breaks it has to go back to UK
3. Still haven't read about one on a 308 or bigger,one on a .223 was the biggest.
So still very undecided whether im gonna try one...? ???

A friend just bought a 6-24 x 56 Viper for R3888,00.....out the box!

He mounted it on his .300 H&H, and will be setting it in this afternoon. Will mainly be used for hunting, and long distance shooting.

I will let you know what the feedback is....must say it is a VERY nice scope though.

If the verdict is good I will buy one for my .308, no doubt.

I have a 10x on my FX Airgun = nice BUT the dial turrets are nowhere near the quality of a Leupold for instance.

A friend of mine told me about one of his other buddies that put one on his gun, cant remember cal but there was a issue with the parralax adjustment.
When he zero'd it at a 100m and adjusted the paralax for 200m the crosshair moved off zero......
apparently it was also a 6-24
dont know what happened after that.... ???

Howzit!!

I've got some nice feedback on the MTC Viper that my friend bought.

He mounted it on an .300 H&H, and set it in at the range. 100m, 200m, 300m, 400m and 500m with no problems!

Returns to zero with no hassles, and stays there. The paralax also works beautifully....almost like a range finder....for example, after setting the scope at these distances, we did the following exercise:
1. Return the turret to zero (100m)
2. Look at a target @ 100m, and turn sidewheel until you have a cristal clear view.
3. If you look at the setting on the sidewheel...it is at exactly 100!

We did this upto 300m, and it worked evey time.

He used the rifle over the weekend in a shooting competition with SA Hunters, and got great results. He is very happy with it!

Needless to say, I ordered a (4 - 16 x 56) with illuminated reticle for my .308 Musgarve.

I hope this helps you with your decision.
