Sword Engraving / Art
Hey Guys,
Not exactly a sword forum, I know, but its as close as I can get to the 'right section' :P
I was just wondering what the feasibility of doing some engraving on a sword (Cold Steel Dragonfly Katana)?
I was thinking of jus some nice patterns towards the handle side of the blade. Will this mess with the structural integrity at all? Any downsides whatsoever? Engraving might be a bit shallow; should I be looking at a swordsmith or something to do something deeper?
Thanks :)

Engraving will in no way harm the structural integrity of your blade. You would be the best person to determine if engraving will be deep enough for your tastes, google some examples of engraved and carved blades and decide.
