The i6 is a great tactical light.
The 7777's is also good and depends on your choice of cell.

AA are cheaper for general use.

Site says 220 Lumens? Probably a finger mistake. Epic flashlight, however. VERY interested all of a sudden. Comes with a holster as well.

Just one question - why do all insist on using these funny-type batteries? They're not really expensive, I know, but why not standard AA batteries? Two of them will also provide the current required, maybe even a tad more? Just wondering...

Lithium cells do not lose charge over time and can have a 10 year shelf life.
When you need a tactical torch you need to know it will work.

Practice with rechargables but use fresh lithium cells for the real world.

AA also come in Lithium now, so this becomes less of an issue.

I would not buy anything else than Surefire. The G2L is not that expensive.

There we go. The problem I have with Litium AA batteries is the fact that they cost R50 a piece.

EDIT: In short, C123A batteries are awesome. Period.

    Hi Guys,

I apologize in advanced for hi-jacking this thread.

Have anyone of you had a look at the Sniper torches? I have a few and I must say I find them better than any LED Lenser or Mag-light LED conversion. The batteries seem to last longer in my Sniper and it shines a lot more brighter than any other one I have seen for the same price. They last and they are waterproof and shockproof. Mine is almost 3 years old and still as bright as the first day....not like my LED Lenser.....

    Again sorry for hi-jacking this....

the "expiry" date on alkaline batteries doesn't mean that on that day they will be dead- they will actually have 85% of their charge at that point.

yes lithiums are better. but I don't see how your tactical torch would gather dust for years before you need to use it, ie you should be training with it and EDCing it, so you should have some idea of the condition of its batteries

A friend of mine has got one of those Sniper torches. Good as well, though no adjustable beam. Spot, and that's it. Also a little steeper priced, and it isn't as bright as my LED Lenser. I'd recommend the Olight T20. R510 for an epic light.

    R25 a cell , R100 for 4 for Lithium AA.

Alkalines are pure crap, bottom line. They cannot deliver the required outputs and decline from day 1.
