Default How not to Mortar your AR.

Just watching this makes me sick. In the last three months I've taken the tip of my right hand thumb off with a table saw and skewered three fingers at once with a preccision hex driver. In terms of pain nothing like hand/foot trauma.

Ouch! I can relate , my left ringfinger ,pinky and thumb have had to be stitched back together and I had to train my hand to properly work again as I'm left handed ,it hurt like hell and my pinky and ringfinger still won't bend properly and have nearly no feeling .

Rule #1: Collapse the stock all the way forward so that it does not ride on the pin which will break if you hit too hard on it and cause damage to the stock and/or the receiver extension/buffer tube.

Rule #2: put one hand on the fore end and use the other hand on the charging lever, depressing the lever latch and pulling down hard on the charging lever when you hit the stock on the ground to create pulling pressure and inertia to get the stuck case dislodged.

This guy did not follow either of the 2 rules.

You and me both. End of April this year, took off quite a few bits of fingers with a table-saw... on my strong hand.

And much like WugeneGlock23, fingers don't bend so lekker anymore, and still quite sensitive. Had to learn to manipulate a FA all over from scratch again.
