Re: Undiceded
It's like the 9mm vs .40 argument all over again!
Take the 6,5.
No, wait, take the .243.
Even better, get a .270. Or the one that fits you best.Sent electronically, thus not signed.

Re: Undiceded
First of all post an intro.
What do you want to use the rifle for?
Skaap, I agree with you, a 270 is spot on for me! A .308 is also fine!

Re: Undiceded
Firstly there are numerous posts discussing this at length. Search for those first and read those posts, one does not want to repeat all that info again. If there is something not covered then ask the question here.
Also when posting it is wise to give as much information as possible so people can help;
- You don't say what you want to shoot.
- You don't mention if you reload.
- You don't mention why you are even considering those calibre's.
You are going to get .243 fanboys and 6.5mm fanboys, much will be opinion and little will be fact. Calibre debates can get tedious at times due to this.

Re: Undiceded
D,
As Andrew said, let's have some more info.
Here is a link to what is a massive thread on your topic:
http://www.gunsite.co.za/forums/show...uld-you-choose
Use the search function (top right), type "6.5x55" and select search titles only. You will get quite a few threads with great info.
PS. Get the 243 ;)

Re: Undiceded
This should be a sticky.
Q: I can't decide between a 308 or a 30-06
A1: Post an intro
A2: No, you need a 375
A3: Is that Taurus Millenium still for sale?

Re: Undiceded
It is a gun that was sold within the first page (maybe second) some time ago and there were still people asking if it is still available at page 20 (might be more). I took the time to read it earlier this week, takes a while but worth a chuckle here and there.
Edit
The link BigT gave.
