Best AR Platform In SA

I recently obtained my DSS and have saved appox R23K for an AR-15. I was told this was the best place to find advice on this type of Rifle and what all the pro's and cons's are.

I have done some research on the following two and from what I have read in summary is as follows

Please note this is only what I have read on the net so obviously based purely on opinion and probably not entirely accurate.

1.PAR MK3 :- Pros... Seems to be Extremely well Built with meticulous attention to detail.
Cons... A little Soft and questions around reliability??

2. NEA-15 :- Pros... Excellent service regarding any technical issues that might arise.
Cons... Struggled to find any except that it is fairly new and still needs to prove itself in years to come.

If there are any others I should also consider please can you point thme out so I can also put them on my list

just my 2c. worth.have a look at norinco's cqa ar 15. check youtube norinco torture test.

i have found that there is more to value than just the price.

i am by no stretch of the imagination n expert on the matter, i was just blown away by he norinco

Based on everything that I read, hear and see I would probably go for the NEA.

Quality wise, its the best option in its price range. Plus the back-up service and parts availability trump all other options locally available.

lifetime warranty on NEA barrel. if that doesnt sell you..........

The best AR platform belongs to me, cause it's licenced to me and it's in my safe and it's all mine MWAHAHAHAHA!!!

Ummm ya, what they said, the NEA's are good and have plenty local support, if you look around the Remington R15's are pretty good too, I have encountered one Norinco and although it ran fine, it battled to eject the unfired round to make safe.

Thanks for the feedback I think NEA might be the better option, The only reason I was really considering the PRO ARMS is that it sells overseas for 2000 Euro's so The Price in Rands is very Fair.

Not sure I am following your maths here?

2000 Euros = appox R22000 so considering you can get one for R24K in SA it seems like a fair price
