5.56 mm Marker Round
Hi,
I know there is a couple of places in the States where you can buy a Marker Round in 5.56 mm to be used in Force on Force training excersises.
Do anyone know if this is available in the S.A. and if so where to buy these ?
regards

Re: 5.56 mm Marker Round
While I have no idea if anyone in SA sells these rounds, the only safe way to use them is to get the conversion. That way there can be no chance of a live round being inserted during training. A complete Simunitions setup for a single pistol may only require a barrel change or it may take an entire slide and upper. It ain't cheap either way, and rifle conversion kits can run several hundred dollars each if you go for the entire upper. Here is the Simmunitions website...

Also, ATK (Federal / Speer) are now making the marker cartridges and theirs' are both more reliable and less costly than the Sims stuff.Run Fast, Bite Hard!

Lots of 9mm simunition being used at FBGC, see the doppies lying around there. So someone is importing it. You'll have to chase pointers.
