Why does the guy driving the truck get to do the "real thing"? if it was a fair world he'd have "trained" too....

Eh... We've done the exact same thing as children. I guess you could say I've been training since I was 5 years old.

Re: Excellent idea for cheap training - ZERO ammo cost
Reminds me of a story of the SANDF having to use the same training methods because of budget cuts.
Our troepie was having a great training day, dropping OpFor attackers left and right when he spotted another target advancing on him from a little ridge.
Troepie took careful aim and engaged the target, but the target didn't drop and kept advancing on him - not even bothering to swerve, duck or take cover - he just bore down on the defender.
Troepie switched to full auto: "Rat-tat-tat-tat-tat-tat-tat!" but with no effect.
The last thing he heard as the attacker literally walked all over him was the sound the guy was making.
"Ke-tank, ke-tank, ke-tank!"Be ready for anything, and if his head is not at least two meters away from the body, do not 'assume' he is dead and out of the fight. - Ikor
