Default Quick Guide posting photos with Photobucket

    1) Create an account with Photobucket.com, it is free, and they don't limit you on files size
    2) Upload your pictures to your library
    3) When you click on the picture you'll see the following:

    4) Find the Image Links toolbox, and click on IMG code (bottom of options), it will copy the link automatically (link will change briefly, showing 'copied')
    5) In your post either press ctrl+v or right click and select paste
    6) The link will now show in your post
    7) To see what your picture looks like, click on preview and if happy with result click Submit

Photobucket has no limit on the size (resolution) of the picture. Quite nice if you want to post high resolution photos.

Photobucket does not use thumbnail images. The link that you copy and paste, load the actual photo in your library on the page, real time while a user views the page. That is also the reaon why you only see the link, when pasted in the post. The moment you preview, or submit your post, the code (link) will tell Gunsite to go and fetch the image on Photbucket, and display it in your post.

Important to never delete the picture or move it around to different folders once posted (referenced from a site like GunSite). If you do the image will disappear from all sites that reference to it.

The easiest way to mange this, is to create a specific folder in your Library and name it say "Posts". Upload your photos that you want to share in posts here, and leave it there.

Create different folders in Library and use these to either share a single photo or an entire library with friends and family. Use the Image Links toolbox for e-mail (top one - E-mail & IM) or posts (bottom - IMG Code).

    Enjoy!

Usually the forum software does that.

I post pics using the photobucket mobile app, and I can't resize from there at all.

    Example?

I normally upload from directly from iPhoto (export directly to Photobucket) where it is easy to choose the size. See picture below.

    (320 x 240)

    (800 x 600)

PS: Windows is so old news . Use MAC. You will thank me later.

    ^^ Lol.

Keep in mind that Photobucket also has a online editor where you can resize etc, etc. Edit button directly above your up-loaded picture.

Why all this photobucket stuff ? I do not want my stuff everywhere. Why can the 'insert image' function not be made to work up to 20mb for example. Drives me nuts.
    Rant off..

Are you hitting "enter" after each time you paste the code?
