Sergeant arrested for attempted murder

KNYSNA NEWS FLASH -

A 42-year-old man was arrested on Saturday evening shortly after a man was shot in the chest.

It is alleged that the victim reversed his bakkie from the pavement into the road and collided with an oncoming green Mazda bakkie.

The owner of the Mazda bakkie, an off-duty sergeant based at Knysna SAPS, allegedly took out a firearm and shot the victim in the chest.

The incident took place in Khayalethu-South.

The man was taken to a hospital in George and is in a stable condition.

The suspect fled the scene in his vehicle after which he was arrested.

Follow-up investigation confirmed that the firearm that was used during the incident was stolen earlier the same evening from the Knysna Police station.

The suspect is expected to appear in the Knysna Magistrates court tomorrow.

The cop was on his way to shoot his wife and the man she was having an affair with. Some unlucky guy reversed out of a parking bay and was struck buy the cop, cop got out of his vehicle and shot the person. Eish, hectic.
