Idpa/Ipsc target stand
Got the idea of YouTube
Just some 50mm PVC tubing and some fittings.
Some trimming necessary on the corners of the the wood to fit in the tube

Re: Idpa/Ipsc target stand
Thanx for sharing JP. PVC is the D.I.Yourselver's friend. Did you fill the four horizontal pipes with sand ? I did this with my PVC-Bowstand to make it more sturdy.

Re: Idpa/Ipsc target stand
Nice idea. Was thinking of welding some, but this seems like fun.

Re: Idpa/Ipsc target stand
Roodepoort uses steel stands and brandering uprights, then staple the targets to the brandering. The training academies and SAPS used to shoot the shite out of the steel stands, the brandering is easily replaceable. Well done on the PVC stand, if it's only you shooting at it I don't see the likelihood of a hit so low. As they say in afrikaans 'moontlik, maar nie maklik nie.

Re: Idpa/Ipsc target stand
instead of filling the pvc with sand rather pour concrete into it. that way you get the benefit of the weight on the bottom as well as it being more likely to survive a bullet hit. if you really want to be fancy run a length of rebar through each pvc pipe before assembly and then pour concrete into it

Re: Idpa/Ipsc target stand
You can get the 'old' IPSC humanoid targets from shooting stuff IIRC... (they are not used in IPSC competition any more though).
