    Default Barrel Threading

    Hi All,

I am looking to have my CZ455 Varminter .22LR threaded to fit a USE UTRA (1/2" x 20 UNF). Can someone recommend a competent GS to do this work for me this week still.

    Thanks

I'd take it through to Arms in Pretoria. top class smiths.

    Never rush a gunsmith.

Ok, gave Arms a call... 6 - 8 weeks - apparently they wait for enough firearms of the same caliber, and do them all one shot (no pun).

Never rush a gunsmith, I agree with, but two months?

i never saw the "this week" request, thats very unrealistic.

6 - 8 weeks is what im used to for years already.

You can also call Riaan at Moot Wapens in PTA. Very competent, good work and I don't think he's 6-8 weeks busy, but I may be wrong.

Give Formalito a call. There is a guy there doing it for you in same day (Or let me say he did my 308 on same day I took it to him)

Powder Keg who ordered my Ase Utra did 2 of my rifles in a week. Ask for Riaan and see if he can help.

Only one - Danie Joubert in Pta. He does threading on rifles for Powder Keg iro the Ase Utra suppressors. Danie is not just a gunsmith - he is a master gunbuilder.

Danie does exact and precision threading - no slop.

For suppressor use you need the best threading job you can get imo.
