    Default Ear muffs for shooting rifle

    Which ordinary (as against electronic) ear muff do you use for shooting rifle? My Peltor Optime 98 is effective for pistol shooting, but today I saw how inappropriate it is for rifle shooting, due to the thick muffs.

    I shot my Mini-14 today (open sights) and had the unpleasant experience of my R ear muff being pushed off my ear when going prone or kneeling. I had plugs in as well, but due to the ear shell being deformed by the rifle butt, that was also not effective.

    Try the peltor shotgunners. They are very flat, cheap and effective.
