Re: check my cool knife
the one on top was a design that i and my american friiend came up with . ie what we thought was nice in a knife. we did the size ,shape, steel thickness , handles , materials and sheath .
we commissioned a knife maker to make two of them.
the one below is a randall and its slightly customised for us as well and took 2 yearslive out your imagination , not your history.

Is the Randall a shortened Model 16 Diver's Knife?

Re: check my cool knife
Their site says 7in but close enough. Nice blade! I have two Model 14's in carbon steel. (I would have preferred SS but none was available at the time) One standard and one with the 'Border Patrol' grip. I love them both, although the second has never even been put in the sheath. I have four grand sons and am trying to get each a 1911 and a Randall. So far, the 1911's are covered and I got two Randalls to go. ;D (my only grand daughter has a Busse Apprentice and a 9mm lightweight Colt Commander...not bad for a 10 year old I think)

Re: check my cool knife
your grand kids are extremely lucky to have you as their grandfather! there is more in the gift of a knife than just the knife itself.
when my mom got engaged to my dad , she gave him an original KASHMIRI dagger. that was 55 years ago! and the knife is just magical.
i am trying to get an original patta and its elusive for nowlive out your imagination , not your history.
