reqiurments for dealers licensce

Hi guys was wondering if sum one could shed sum light on this matter.We want to apply for a dealership licensce what is the procedure as well as requirments pertaining to the application of the license as well as what the specifications in regards to the strongroom.We have been to our local DFO which wsnt much help as firstly we we're given the wrong forms n they couldt tel us the requirments or the minimum requirments for the strongroom.All that was told is go on the saps website n u can see from there.The guys that are going to be in charge of the firearm section are competent in rifle,hand gun as well as shotgun, to they have to be competent in carbine as well n stil apply 4 further competency?We were told the walls surrounding the strongroom have to be reinforced with steel plate between the bricks or is reinforced concrete fine.Thanks in advance to those who find time in their busy schedules to assist with this problem.

One requirement is a reasonable degree of literacy. Somehow I think you're screwed.

The other thing that is required is a working knowledge of the Firearms Control Act 60 of 2000 and its regulations (hint: regulation 86(2) references the applicable SABS specification, a copy of which you can buy from the SABS). Don't forget the engineer's certification.

Why ----- the guy doing the rule making - checking up and running the show rather likely has neither qualification.
