Your best bet would be Sharp Edge in Sandton City www.sharpedge.co.za, though I'm not sure if you will find MOD there. If you are set on the MOD try www.bestknives.com or www.knifecenter.com.

Personally I have found the opening stud of MOD knives to be too close to the handle for comfortable opening, and even to find the button of the auto versions under stress might be difficult.

I you want a folder - most ladies prefer them because they don't clash with colour schemes and are more easily carried concealed, you can try a Spyderco Tasman Salt folder - there are cheaper versions available, see Sharp Edge's website.

Fixed blade is better, but harder to conceal: CRKT Bear Claw or Ka-Bar TDI perhaps.

sure. problem with almost all crkt incl bear claw is they are not ambidexterous, fixed blade - sheath clip thing wrong way round.
i got very cross at sharp edge yesterday. the guy was an idiot.

just cant get into spyderco brand. sorry.

Yup. Most of them are unfortunatly. These are the same guys who I have overheard trying to convince people to buy tasers and knives because they are better than guns for SD. Their product knowledge is abyssmal at best.

They are, together with their wholesale arm CDG, the biggest cutlery dealer though.

Geoff Carter can make kydex sheaths for any fixed blade you choose, and his stuff is much higher in quality than any kydex sheaths I have ever seen included with even custom blades. I would look at the small TDI and if I liked the blade and concept, I would have Geoff make me a sheath...he understands the blade, believe me.
