7.65mm for self defence?
i say yes...wait let me explain
everyone talks about stopping power but people forget that the 7.65mm/32acp was the most used caliber in ww1 and even though ammunition (powders and bullets) advanced ,the human body didnt grown immune or stronger against bullet wounds.yes ther are bitter and more powerfull calibers today ther isnt anything wrong with a fmj 7.65mm.
What do you guys think?

I think you are presening an artificial argument to convince yourself that you are right and all other research done on defensive calibres are wrong.
By your argument we might as well carry Browning Challengers.Sent electronically, thus not signed.

Re: 7.65mm for self defence?
Firstly, post the source for this information. I'd suggest that the most used small arms calire in WW1 was probably some sort of 8mm or .303.
Military pistols of that area were typically only issued to officers, who had fairly little need of them as they led companies of troops armed with rifles.
The calibre is somewhat anemic and the guns chambered in it tend to be tiny.
Guns in this calibre may have their place, as deep concealment etc, but not, to my mind, as a primary fighting tool.
In addition, the only thing worse than a 7.65 with ball, is one with hollow points.Cattle die, kindred die, every man is mortal:

Just FYI Uncle Moses designed the .45 ACP because of the .32 crapability.

Re: 7.65mm for self defence?
Search for a recent post on the 380 / 9mm Short. The conclusion was more or less that it is better than nothing, but reliable penetration was a concern. So I doubt that the 7.65 will be better.

Re: 7.65mm for self defence?
I would not EDC a 7.65 mm as my main and first weapon.
