Kapt. Ntobeng Phala, polisiewoordvoerder, het gesê die ander twee mans het weggehardloop. Een het ’n mes laat val. Die drie het oor die hoë muur voor die huis geklim en vermoedelik agter ’n palmboom geskuil. Die gewonde man is later in die provinisiale hospitaal dood.
’n Buurman, wie se naam Jardim nie ken nie, het met hom na die hospitaal gejaag. Niks is ten tyde van die voorval gesteel nie.
Jardim, sy vrou en twee kinders sal berading ontvang.
Kol. Ronél Otto, polisiewoordvoerder in Limpopo, het gesê ’n moordsaak is geopen. “Dit is standaard-prosedure. Die ondersoek sal bevind of daar enige vervolgings sal wees of nie.” Jardim sal nie geskors word nie''

The robber was hit with 5 rounds, but only died in the hospital. I wonder what ammo he was shooting with.

The SAPS are all issued with FMJs. Only time someone would be using JHPs is if they bought it themselves, and that's strongly discouraged last time I checked (which was 5 years ago).

But thankfully the robber got what was coming to him. I hope he was awake while he went cold. It takes a real piece of dog shit to shoot a man in front of his daughters.

Interesting to note from these type of articles is that whenever more than one shot is fired, some form of emphasis or repetition is always placed on the amount of shots fired at a person. The FBI has done studies to show that you need to fire at least 7 (seven) shots with a 9mm to be effective in stopping an attack by a person on you. ( if you google FBI you will find studies results).What you see in movies when someone get shot is totaly and 100% fictional in terms of ballistics and the manner in which the human body react to the impact of a bullet.
