Epic stuff which does a great job of increasing the usable range of a buckshot loaded shotgun.

Lots of factors effecting that. No reason for it to be less controllable than any other full power buckshot load

Beautiful! Hogger, It would appear that the secret of this lies in its wad design - albeit that it is actually shunting! I have chronied some of the SP LG loads in the past (the stuff that was made locally) - it did 1350fps. Trawling the net this morning, it would appear that most 12ga loads (across the range from #9s to 000) do between 1150fps to 1295fps. Given the energy formula of E=mc^2 (well they prove a CERN last year, that the "=" should read something like "almost and most of the time", but thank greatness that we are dealing with 00 buck and not subatomic particles here) - you can do the sums
