9mm vs .40cal

what would be the best between the 9mm and .40cal for a carry pistol, basic self defence and why?

i know 9mm are the most common

Like the Big Dog said the one that you shoot best. Not that feels the best shooting a couple of rounds through. But the one you shoot fastest against the timer and most accurately with both hands, strong hand only and support hand only.

i shoot saps 92f and z88 in 9mm
and have an SP2 in .40 S&W
love my .40 but its down to personal choice i suppose...
find some friends with both, if your in ct your most welcome to come plonk off a few rounds with my one.
