Re: Subsonic 243 ammo
Why would you want to take a 3000fps cartridge and trim it down to 1126fps? I don't get it.
A good suppressor will take most of the sound away.

You can load 100 grain bullets with IMR Trialboss powder to achieve subsonic loads if you want ...

Re: Subsonic 243 ammo
Don't know if you can SAFELY do it with local powders. Don't think anyone has tried, because I can't think of a good reason to do so.
The 308 with the same case dimensions and much heavier bullet is already a tricky one to get right without problems. Think the 243 will be nigh on impossible without risking that little understood thing called "detonation". Of the rifle that is, not just the cartridge. Underfilled cases have shown to be one of the factors in this.

Re: Subsonic 243 ammo
One further point which I totally overlooked is that in order to get maximum downrange energy (within the constraints of subsonic velocity), you'd probably want to load the heaviest bullet (say 100 grains), but it is highly unlikely that you will be able to stabilize 100 grainers or even 85 grainers at such low velocity ....
Maybe it's unworkable ...

Re: Subsonic 243 ammo
I have done it. I used MP200 pistol powder. Used a 100gr Hornady Inerbond. Use dacron stuffing to keep powder against the powder. With a suppressor all you can hear is the firing pin hitting the primer.
