Re: Dashprod Pump Action Folding Stock
Got to shot one this weekend.
Comments:
Gun was brand new, and had not been lubed.
Rounds would dive down occationally getting wedged under a ledge at the entance to the mag tube. Slight pressure with the finger on the brass of the cartridge would pop it up and it would then feed into the chamber.
This was the folding stock version.
The stock is a terrible design! You end up with at best a chin weld, if you try to bring your head down to get a cheack weld your face ends up really close to some sharp metal parts of the stock which slam into your face when you fire the gun. One shooter ended up with a nice thick lip from this.
This set up is caused by the design of a carry type handle into the stock as being VERY important!
The sights resulted in slugs impacting about 6" high at 25 meters, did not try at greater distances due to having limited number of slugs on hand.
So overall impression not impressed due to the terrible stock design.

Re: Dashprod Pump Action Folding Stock
So GG am I correct in saying that a properly lubed gun with a conventional stock may have impressed you more,or, may have been more reliable?

Re: Dashprod Pump Action Folding Stock
Reliablity is one issue, if lubed, and after 100 or so rounds the problem goes away then no problem.
Needed to find the root cause, as it did not do it every time.
I will not scrap it just because of the one example I saw, and fire maybe 30 rounds through.
The stock is my big issue!
Was designed by someone who does not understand the importance of the cheak weld to hitting your target with a shotgun.
We all know that you break the cheak weld and you shoot high.
This shotgun with the folding stock will only be purchased by people who do not know any better.
Fix stock could be a whole differrent ball game.
