    This is what Paul said on their FB page about what has been done to these FN's.

    All of these rifles have been electronically borescoped at Denel (come with reports). The chambers have been diamond polished, the gas tubes replaced (whether they required it or not), the pistons have been re-chromed, all the springs changed, the upper and lowers all match (same serial numbers), all the dings and dents have been removed and the guns are re-gunkoted. All the furniture has been replaced or renewed. These are NOT collectors pieces, but are good shooters.
    I must admit i had a little buyers remorse in the beginning, but when i got the rifle in my hands, all that went out the window.

    the thing with a FAL build for me personally, would cost a shitload.
    i'd get the DSA rail/cover;
    that VLTOR handguard;
    probably an acog too (lets be honest, it's not a close range / CQB weapon).

    $$$$$$$$$ :(

    doesnt make me any less jealous though!!

    Yes we did but they had

    The DSA special trigger which is a huge improvement on the stock FAL trigger

    Short piston gas system

    16" fluted barrel

    Troy brake

    Folding stock

    Quad rail hand guard

    SAW pistol grip

    Picatinny dust cover

    Enhanced bolt carrier.

    Enhanced rear sight receiver.

    We stopped trying after our first effort due to the enormous effort to try and get replies and movement form them.After months of trying to get a price list for AR parts I just did not feel like wasting any more time.I understand that Ihawu is working with DSA ?We were the first to actually get DSA ZM4 and SA58 rifles for civilian sales into SA and DSA had no real interest to pursue continuous efforts.When we had a meeting with DS at Shotshow 2012 he was full of excuses ......We eventually turned elsewhere to suppliers/manufacturers who were willing and able to face the effort of getting rifles to SA.
