    Default MAE Suppressors

    Hi guys

Need some help, i am seriously considering getting an MAE suppressor fitted to my rifle (30.06).
The suppressor is stainless steel and will only add an extra 4 inches to the barrel.
Got a price of R5,200. Anyone have any experiance with these suppressors.

Here is a link to their website.

Please let me know what you guys think.

    Thanks

I do not know this particular suppressor but Safari & Outdoor is advertising a suppressor called the AimZonic and the top of the range model is about R3800. A couple of things to note:

    1) Very few suppressors actually show a value of how much it reduces the sound by and I could not find the sound reduction decibel value on the website of MAE.
    2) Suppressors put a huge amount of weight on the front of your rifle. My suppressor weighs in at 546 grams which is over 1/2 kg. I see on the MAE website that on average theirs also weigh in the 1/2 kg range. This is a lot of weight to wield around.

I personally am looking for a much lighter suppressor that comes with a guaranteed noise reduction and why I am currently looking at the AimZonic at only 330 grams and still a guaranteed reduction of 25 dB.
